Guinness Record attempt for Longest Mobile Chain in the world
This
17th March, 2016 Managers without Borders - India in association with
Guru Nanak Institutions attempted and succeeded in achieving GuinnessWorld Record
for the title longest
mobile chain in the world.
But
the more important news is that we attempted this record for
awareness on E-Waste
Management
with expected gathering of 3200+
mobile
phones.
This
event is not a only a venue for our new talents to show what they’ve
got to the social responsibility, but also show how today’s youth
in the country concern about the environment and e waste management.

noble initiative by eminent business personalities and highly
enthusiastic students of management, placed across the length and
breadth of India and abroad, “Managers without Borders – India”
is a Non-Government Organization whose main ambition is to bridge the
gap between various stakeholders in Nation building process by
constructing a dense network of students and professionals. It has
three major objectives viz. to integrate Venture Capitalists, Promote
Social Entrepreneurship, Incubators, and wannabe Entrepreneurs, Skill
development through workshops and provide a national-level platform
for business ideas in various sectors. “Managers Without Borders”
is affiliated as a youth club to NYSK (Ministry of Skill Development,
Entrepreneurship and Youth Affairs & Sports) and also listed
member in Department of Economics and Social Affairs (DESA) and
Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), Youth for Social Policy and
Development Division of United Nations NGOs Department.
About
the Event:
Managers
without Borders in association with Guru Nanak Institutions Technical
Campus Ibrahimpatnam constituency created a Guinness record by
arranging the longest mobile chain. This programme was arranged in
order to enter into the Guinness Book of World Records by connecting
3766 mobile phones as a chain as long as 600 meters. We have overcome
the previous Guinness record with 3152 mobiles as a chain organized
in South Africa in 2008 and created this record by beating them. This
programme was supervised by Mr. Rajendra Kumar, Deputy Director,
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (Cantonment Zone Office) and
Circle Inspector of IBP PS. It was organized by Managers without
Border India, an NGO and Management of the Guru Nanak Institutions.
Dr. H.S. Saini, Managing Director, Director Dr.B. Veeranna, Prof.
Parthasaradhy, Associate Director and HOD Aeronautical Engineering
participated along with nearly 4000 students in this programme.
